Yes, now it’s for sure! We have found a party place for MIU 2010

MIUn aika ja paikka on varmistunut, pistäkää merkintä kalenteriin!

The party place is rather near to the centre of Helsinki. If You arrive by train the easiest and fastest way to the party place is metro, less than 10 minutes and a little walk. (The grey box on the upper left corner)

If You come by airplane You can take bus number 615 that also stops on the metro station

Doors will be open Sat 12:00 and close at Sun 09:00.

What this is all about?

MSX Info Update 2010 is about meeting other MSX-users and keeping MSX platform alive. Everyone who is interested about MSX computers is more than welcome.

This year we have demo compo, music compo and brand new MSX hardware compo! You can also find latest hardware and software from the party place. We have fresh buy/sell table, food & drinks etc. This is also great place to seek help for problems you might have in your mind.

And all this is available with free entry, friendly faces and free cup of coffee.

General rules to compos

• Any MSX hardware accepted, except MP3 card in music compo

• All entries should be previously unpublished

• Remote submissions accepted, send them to NYYRIKKI before 15.8.2010

• Entries will be judged by jury published at party place.

• It is your responsibility to provide needed hardware if party

organizers don’t have it. Please ask if you are unsure.

• Submit your entry(s) before 17:00 Sat. 21.08.

Demo compo

• Any MSX hardware accepted

• Demo will be judged considering the hardware used

Music compo

• No time or size limit, but try to keep it not huge

• MP3 card not allowed

MSX hardware compo

• Make or modify anything you can connect to MSX

• The device should control MSX or be controlled by MSX

(Taking power from MSX is not enough)

• The device can be totally useless as long as it is original!

• You need to provide some example code to prove functionality

• The device can use existing extensions (ie. RS-232)

• You can also attend by writing driver for some device previously

not supported by MSX.

• Prepare to demonstrate your device

Party paikka on Sörnäisissä hyvin lähellä Helsingin keskustaa. Jos saavut junalla niin helpoin ja nopein tapa on tulla partypaikalle metrolla (alle 10 minuuttia rautatieasemalta)

MSX Info Update 2010 on tapahtuma johon voi tulla tapaamaan muita MSX-käyttäjiä, vaihtamaan kuulumisia ja tutustumaan viimeisimpiin ohjelmiin ja tuotteisiin. Kaikki jotka ovat kiinnostuneita MSX-standardin mukaisista koneista ovat lämpimästi tervetulleita.

Tänä vuonna meillä on demo compo, musa kompo sekä aivan uutena MSX hardware compo, jossa voit näyttää kyntesi raudan kanssa. Tuttuun tapaan meiltä löytyy myös osta/myy pöytä sekä pientä syötävää ja juotavaa kohtuulliseen hintaan.

Yleiset compojen säännöt

• Mikätahansa MSX hardware kelpaa jollei muuta ole mainittu

• Kaikkien töiden tulee olla aikaisemmin julkaisemattomia

• Etänä voi osallistua, mutta työt tulee lähettää ennen 15.8.2010

• Compojen arvovaltainen tuomaristo julkistetaan party paikalla

• Osallistujan vastuulla on järjestää paikalle tarvittava rauta jollei

järestäjiltä rautaa löydy. Kaikkea kannattaa kysyä.

• Jätäthän työsi ennen klo:17:00 La 21.08.
